1. Respect
- Respect people and property in the library at all times.
- Eating or drinking in the library is prohibited. Please leave bottles and cups at the table by the door.
- Passes are required during the school day.
- You may check out up to 5 items.
- Check out periods vary.
- Reference - Circulation times are set per librarians discretion.
- Magazines, Graphic Novels, Picture Books & Audio Books - 1 Week
- All other Items - 2 Weeks
- You can renew as many times as you like as long as nobody has placed a hold on the book.
- If you have an overdue book you cannot checkout another book until it is returned. If your book is marked lost your librarian will place a note on your account allowing you to check out one book at a time until the lost item is either found and returned or paid for.
- Overdue notices are created every week.
- Initial overdue notices are emailed to students school accounts.
- When items are 2 weeks overdue notices are sent to ELA classroom and an e-mail is sent to parents.
- When a book is 3 and 4 weeks overdue notices are sent to ELA classrooms, as well as being emailed to students and parents.
- After these notices they are marked as lost and fines are created in skyward.
- Tell library staff if you have lost or damaged a book.
- If an item is lost or damaged beyond repair we create a fine for the replacement cost of the item.
- If an overdue book is returned undamaged within the same academic year it was checked out, the fine will be removed from the student's Skyward account.
- If an overdue book has been paid for and then found and returned, a refund will be issued as long as the book is undamaged and returned within the same academic year it was checked out.
- There is zero tolerance for using school computers for illicit or inappropriate behavior, (e.g.pornography, weapons, profanity, sexual content, drugs, or other content deemed inappropriate by school board policy.)
- Inappropriate use of school computers will result in a loss of computer privilege and may involve further action. Refer to your school handbook for more details.
